It LIVES!!!

And I’m not talking about the carpet. It’s the first run of the first issue of How to Succeed in Evil. 25 issues done digitally so we could have something to flash around at HeroesCon. Not in color, not perfect. But very, very good.
Soon they will be in color and soon they will be for sale.

This is a great idea. I’d love to see this as a television series or movie.

I don’t know if a tv series would work out very well. He’s already making the podcasts, I think writing a television series would be too much work and the franchise would get exhausted quickly. I really can’t wait for the comics by the way.

Oh Jed. Ye of little faith. I may not be Brian Michael Bendis or J. Michael Straczynski but trust me, I could handle it without screwing it up.
When I get the deal that lets me just write stuff like this, it’s a goal of mine wear out at least one keyboard a year.
(and the bullshit I have to write to keep food on the table right now - you have no idea.)
Anyway, I’m squaring away publication for the comic, looks like I’ll be pitching the film in September. Stay tuned.

Not only am I newly addicted to HTSIE and Seanachai, I think I have a little bit of a crush on Patrick too. Please keep writing, I look forward to each and every word. Is it possible to set up a subscription to the comic?

Sheer brilliance. I actually have no idea how I stumbled across the site, but I’m so glad I did. Edwin and Topper are great characters, and I can’t wait to hear more about them. The prequels are fun, but I’d like to know what Edwin does next. He doesn’t strike me as the sort of person who’se likely to go in for revenge, but he’s going to have to do some reputation damage control. And I doubt those Fortune 100 companies are just going to sit back and forget about him.
Folks who’ve enjoyed HtSiE might enjoy the “Union Dues” stories over at the Escape Pod podcast. They’re darker than HtSiE, but do the same thing as Edwin’s adventures; taking a genre full of absurdities and seeing what happens to them in the context of the real world. I can’t recommend them enough.
