Honestly, I’m kinda disappointed… I mean it definatly was the Edwin I’ve enjoyed all this time but this one ended and left me thinking… thats it?
Now before I get loads of flames or people agreeing think about the time it does take to create one of these mini shows. I understand the time it can take. (Not having done it myself i say that only to sate my own ego but nonetheless, I know it does take some doing.)
Yet after such a wait from the last one I sorta expected a bit more I guess.
Now, I liked this one, like I love all of them. It left me wanting more, though, and not entirely in a good way. If you are going to continue this storyline, or for the next ones, how about a little forshadowing? Like Little-T gave when he was talking about Edwin. You knew just from that that he was coming, and then you suprise us by showing he is one step ahead of the game(well, it wasn’t TOO much of a suprise).
Also, will we ever hear more about the secrtary from the first few episodes?
Thanks again, and I loved it, though I would have liked more *twosh-twosh*
I confess to having snoozed through the part of school where they discussed the benefits of selling stock short - but if Edwin says it’s good, then I’m on board. Liked the bit where he told El J not to talk with his mouth full.
Keep it comin, man, at your own pace. At keep doing what YOU want - not what you think They want. Before emergency medicine, I dabbled in publishing and screenwriting, and ran into MANY people who promised the world, but never got around to putting a contract together. Let your agent do the dance with all of them, while you keep doing your own thing.
Hi Patrick.
I stumbled along How to Succeed in being evil quite by accident. My girlfriend wanted me to find a random audiobook or podcast for her iPod. I had barely even considered the idea and had little interest at all. However during my scouring I read a quick synopsis of Edwin’s story. Suddenly I was interested. I downloaded the first 2 episodes before subscribing the next morning. Within a few days I had managed to find time for something I had previously no interest in and had listened to the lot.
I loved every podcast except for Edwin 2.0 which I felt lacked everything about Edwin that I liked and instead replaced him with a bad stereotype that could be found in any crappy novel/film/podcast. So I was glad when I listened to Edwin 2.0 Part 2 that you had killed the character off after listening to your fans feedback. My only other complaint with How to Succeed in Being Evil is the lack of quantity. The quality is fantastic and I’m sure it’s hard to keep up that good work. However you are obviously a talented writer and story teller so all I can beg of you is keep it coming. I know I will lap it up and I’m sure many others will too.
After reading back over this statement it seems kind of negative. This is not the feel I want to put across. Instead I hope you will realise which sections of my statement I would have emphasised had I been speaking to you. I assure you it would have been the parts about finding the time for something I previously had no interest in, and the “loved every podcast” bit.
Well I found this marvelous website through a friend of mine. I am amazed at the story it is simply captivating. I was kind of sad when it ended. But I was highly entertained and can’t wait for any other items that may off shoot from this story.

Patrick,
I loved it. The line about shorting the stock was brilliant. Thank you again.
