How to Succeed in Evil by Patrick E. McLean

How to Succeed in Evil is not a self-help page for the maladjusted. It it is the story of Edwin Windsor, Evil Efficiency Consultant. He's like Arthur Anderson for Supervillians.

Evil Novel Announcement!

March is the new February. No really.

Okay, so I missed Feb, but we’ve got a go live date on the novel of March 16th. And this lovely podcast, with promo, explaining what’s been going on with the book and what happens next.

Greatest news I’ve had in a while! I’d mark my calendar, if I had one. Hell, I might even go buy a calendar just to be able to mark it. Can’t wait for the launch

  2. nerdalert says:

This has to be the bestest day ever.

  3. Jackson says:

A great day for evil every where!

  4. joe says:

It’s like my 3-minute egg was caught in a time-space distortion. Now a 3-year egg, I’m sure it will be the tastiest one of all!

  5. jd says:

Any chance we can buy all chapters all at once *in print* ?

  6. erik says:

    And there was much rejoicing.

    JD,

I’m glad you asked. The plan goes like this. Podcast book. Increase web traffic related to Evil. Use increased statistics to solicit for publishing. Get publishing deal. Take over the world. (wait, I was supposed to keep that last part a secret)

So when it’s up and going, you need to subscribe every computer that comes within arms reach to the audiobook ;-)

    • jd says:

Decent plan. I already have four hosts subscribed here; perhaps I can spool up a load of VMs to help out ;)

  9. Josh says:

Woot Woot! I can’t wait, and it’ll give me something to look forward to after Spring Break. Good luck getting it published! (I just realized that could be taken sarcasticly, but it’s not.)

  10. dirkson says:

Have you considered self-publishing on the Kindle? https://dtp.amazon.com/mn/signin – Or something like it. You’d have at least one immediate sale here.

  11. Sir Garrick says:

Huzzah! Good show! Jolly good! Bloody brilliant and all that.
I can say, good sir that we’ve all been patiently waiting.
And I must say, I approve heartily of waiting until the ides of March have passed us by. No sense in walking upon graves in good weather eh?
    Cheerio!

  12. tyger says:

The last couple seconds, at least on the iTunes Podcast make it sound like the book is currently available somewhere on the site, but I can’t seem to find it anywhere… And I want to buy it!

  22. Icepick says:

Oooh. Finally, a real reason to live another day and after that, maybe another.

    Michael,

First, Bravo to one of the best on-going sagas since Douglas Adam’s “Hitchhiker’s Guide To the Galaxy” 4 or 5 book trilogy. 42 everybody.

I want to give a shout out in Thank You also to Ken Ramsey of STXCC.net, an IT consultant I met while in Boise, ID while ‘doing a bank job’ this May who turned me on to HTSIE. I have not been able to stop listening and I now know why IT people have unproductive time during working hours. My blackberry has played HTSIE as I have downloaded it, under my pillow at night, and of course on my laptop and through my blackberry into my car stereo via ipod jack.

From the very first chapter in the courtroom to Barry eating the cat, to Topper, and all the rest, as Johnny Carson would tell the comedians he liked, “Funny Stuff.”

Keep writing. A Creative Mind such as yours should be celebrated and given the resources required to keep creating. Thanks for bringing many hours of enjoyment to my life.

Thanks also Ken Ramsey, San Antonio Texas.

    Kind Regards,
