They disdain conventional morality, yes. But they are too illogical and internally inconsistent. Edwin is more of a stoic. Not deceived by appearance. A lot of these rules are organizational in nature. The kind of things that help you play office politics well. Edwin doesn't play office politics. He plays for keeps. But I did take those into consideration in the story. I'll give you an insight into one of Edwin's laws. Seduce people by telling them the truth they are afraid to tell themselves.
