I just started listening here recently, and this is my first update. And I must say, it has been halarious the whole way. I haven’t been too fond of Topper, but this episode endered him to me. Kinda like a STD or a parisite, but eh, I should lay off the small person jokes.
And when I talk about this podcast to friends, now I will use that last line. Heh, even the devil.
Bueno senior, muchas gracias!
¿El Diablo no tengo dinero?
Well if the devil is short of cash, and requires a loan from Mr. Windsor to keep his finances afloat, mayhap I can repurchase my soul for a tuppence, and have enough leftover for a vacation in Toledo to practice my rusty Spanish. Such I may hope, but I digress.
Thank you Mr. McLean. You’ve made my night once again. And indeed that last line was quite the excellent parting shot. Huzzah!
I’ve been listening to the entire series, as well as the Seanachai, and figured it was time to chime in.
The description of Edwin was excellent; a very good telling of the essence of him. However, there is always a however, the interaction with the narrator came across as cheesy. Better to leave that for “Stranger than Fiction.”
This prequel hasn’t YET give me reason for Edwin and Topper falling out, though.
I expect that Edwin will do something to bring about this change in Toppers mind… it will be delicious providing its in character, I look forward to consuming it.
“Long time listener, first time commenter.” Love your work. My iPod is chock full of Seanachai episodes, and especially HtSiE. I’m definitely an Edwin fan, but now Topper has a special (dark) place in my heart. Looking forward to the next episode.
Patrick,
Thank you.
This is exactly why we all love HTSIE: “It’ll make him mad because it’s too stupid.”
That, and the El Camino of Justice.

Yeah, when I wrote “even the devil owes him money” it made my week.
Bueno senior, muchas gracias!

Great Episode.
This is actually the first episode where we get a sense of how much Topper respects Edwin.
But please PLEASE write Chapter XIII!
Please forgive me for gushing like a fanboy, but I stopped by to see if a new episode was up, I listened to it, and it was fantastic as always.
I’m really looking forward to the 20th episode in the continuity.
I just heard the episode and something happend in El Justiador WOW
I loved it from start to finish

Oh Derk, you’re gonna hate Death of a Dishwasher.
Death of a Dishwasher was great!
